With so many choices in the coffee market today, how do you go about choosing the right commercial brewer for your break room? The traditional brewer, which can still be the best fit for many companies, now shares space with many single cup brewers.
When choosing for your break room, consider what is most important to your organization. Is it cost, convenience, efficiency and/or access to beverage selection? Knowing what you most want from your brewer can help you decide between the two. Read on to find out more about what each one offers.
Traditional commercial brewers are extremely easy to use and affordable as a means to serve multiple people simultaneously without a long wait. The low cost and convenience of making a whole pot(s) at once offers easy access to that first cup of coffee most employees reach for after arriving to the workplace. Traditional brewers also offer a variety of coffee that can be tailored to what your organization prefers best. However, keep in mind that you may be making more coffee than is consumed because of making a whole pot at a time and you are limited to a smaller variety of coffee choices.
Unlike traditional commercial brewers, single cup brewers offer much more variety with beverage choice. Not only can each employee choose which type of coffee they prefer, they can also make a variety of other beverages such as hot chocolate or apple cider. This appeals to many employees and allows them to indulge in their favorite selections without having to compromise. However, something to keep in mind with single cup brewers is timing. During breaks, when time is somewhat limited, many employees may be vying for the machine at the exact same time. And there may be additional expense compared to the economical traditional brewer, depending on the machine you choose and the selection of beverages you offer. If convenience and cost are most important, a traditional brewer may be the better fit.
